Sam is an Anthropologist by training, which has reinforced a preoccupation with people and the way they interact with the structures and systems around them.
Coming towards the end of his first decade of working life, Sam has been Head of Strategy at one of the UK’s largest independent communications agencies, worked at a variety of start-ups and is now leading the Commercial and Strategy team for Freeformers. Freeformers’ mission is to ‘create the Future Workforce, now’ by empowering everyone with the digital confidence and capability to find productive and meaningful work now, and in the future. This work includes the consideration of immediate, short-term implications of technology on organisations’ business models, complemented by a longer-term consideration of the ensuing implications for the humans that make up those organisations.
His work has enabled him to engage with a diverse range of fascinating businesses and brands, including; Amazon, Barclays, Battersea Power Station, CYBG, HSBC, JustEat, Microsoft, Matalan, MHUK, Nokia, Paypal, PUMA, Victoria’s Secret and Visa.
He has learned more than he can write in words from his grandmother, father and sister, with whom he is honoured to share a stage.
