Jane started with Unilever in the Creative Excellence team in 2013 where she created and launched their new approach to communication, before moving into Personal Care, a category that is driven by innovation. She now runs their internal innovation lab and introduced a “brand in residence” approach. This has created a shift in terms of the disruptiveness of innovation and positive cultural change within the Category as it brings the latest in technology, digital application and design into one place and allows brands to act outside standard ways of working.
Her career started at Ogilvy’s in strategic planning followed by GGT/TBWA and Bates as a Planning Director. After that Jane worked in brand innovation consultancy on many global companies, including Unilever. This means, even now, whatever she works on Jane brings a deep background in brands, an instinct for consumer relevance and a natural inclination to think big and join dots. Perhaps even more importantly for the subject of disruption, making it happen and keeping it moving is central to her way of working.
Jane read Archaeological Science at Bradford, was a junior British Team skier and competitive rower, weight-lifter and horse-rider. The last two hobbies have just about survived working life and motherhood. She has two children and while pregnant was the muse behind the natural skincare brand Ren. The world of naturals remains a passion and a way of life.
